"Love is Love is Love" was written on a brick wall when I was in Scranton, PA the other day and the sentiment rings so true when describing Sherry and Gretchens wedding day.
Sherry and Gretchen got married in a beautiful, intimate backyard ceremony at their home. They are known for throwing dinner parties so when it came to picking a venue, no other place seemed right.
Because Sherry and Gretchen have amazing, effortless taste, decorating was a cinch. Their garden is the envy of anyone who steps foot in it and their home is something so lovely and cozy it makes you want to sit and stay for more glasses of wine than you're invited for.
Planning their wedding was a bit stressful because of the tumultuous weather of June. Not to mention, Sherry and Gretchen are so popular they had an almost 100% RSVP rate so our rain plan would have been tight! However, working with an amazing team of vendors made the day go so smoothly! We were dealing with minimal space constraints and Dave and the crew at Jefferson Rentals problem solved and managed to work their magic! The impeccable crew over at Main Event Catering put everything together so fast, they are like a well-oiled machine. DJ Jeremy James did some really great last minute changes during an emergency situation that happened at dinner and had some background music prepped and ready. Of course last but certainly not least, Lelia of Lelia Marie photography captured the essence of happiness, love and celebration that was the epitome of the weekend. Then there was Julie of Beaumont House who I adore and not only created the most dreamy floral bouquets, headpieces and arrangements but who Sherry told me repeatedly was one of the best suggestions I had made throughout the planning process. It was a perfect example of how having a top notch team of professionals can reduce stress and make your big day perfect!
Needless to say we had absolutely perfect weather and the emotion and love was palpable. There's often times a deep connection that is visible from an outsiders perspective and I can tell you from witnessing these two together that soul mates really do exist. Congratulations Sherry and Gretchen on a beautiful love and a beautiful day.
