Jenn & Chris
Chris and Jenn got married on a mid-July day at Stone Tower Winery in Leesburg, Virginia. The day started off with the most intense thunderstorm I had seen yet that summer. Fortunately the rain subsided with plenty of time to spare to end with a beautiful ceremony and reception enjoyed in the sprawling, rolling knolls of Leesburg. I think the entire wedding party (and myself) willed the rain away because it was full sunshine and beautiful the rest of the day. The incredibly talented Krysta of Krysta Norman Photography took all of the beautiful pictures you see here today. It was tough for me to narrow down because every single one of them was so gorgeous!
Jenn and Chris got ready in a beautiful estate house on sprawling acres in Middleburg, Virginia that I found on airbnb! This allowed their entire wedding party to prepare and enjoy the weekend in a central location. It was also where they had their farewell brunch to top off a spectacular wedding weekend for all of their loved ones and to kick off their beginning as husband and wife.
Jennifer is one of those brides that you look at in a magazine and think "no one can possible be that attractive" but I've met her in person and guys, I can tell you she really is. She is also the sweetest person, talented and a hard worker to boot, basically the whole package! Not fair, right? Maybe she sucks at taxes or something...but probably not!
Her flower girls and ring bearers are just the sweetest things and they all did their jobs so well! Her bridal party wore gorgeous petal pink gowns and beautiful simplistic jewelry and hair that brought out each individual girls beauty!
Chris was dapper and very GQ in a blue suit and blush pink tie and his boys were just as handsome in their matching blue suits and blue ties. This group will keep you on your toes and definitely knows how to have fun!
The ceremony was held outside at the beautiful Stone Tower Winery overlooking the vineyard, pond and mountains. Chris's dad, John officiated and a friend played beautiful acoustic guitar. Jenn's dad actually made the arch and much of the signage throughout the venue. There was a surprise reading by Jenn's uncle and not a dry eye left in the entire place!
Introducing the new Mr. & Mrs. Dietrich!
The reception was held in the incredible new event space at Stone Tower Winery. When initially planning the wedding the event space wasn't even built and so the original plan was to have a tent up on the hill outside of the barn area. Fortunately a couple months before the big day, the event space was built and it provided a stunning reception area with 200 year old Tibetan wood doors, beautiful industrial, modern and chic design and most importantly air conditioning to combat that mid July heat!
We created the centerpiece flowers 2 days before the wedding, the wedding favors were homemade apple butter by Sue, Jenn's mom who is a professional caterer, and I made labels for the front and back. Such a sweet, personal touch, don't you think?
I also DIY'd the wine bottle table number holders which was a ton of fun. I'll use anything as an excuse to spray paint!
The Cake was made by Jenn's aunt, the wood round cake stand again by Jenn's dad and it was catered by Carolina Brothers who brought some of the yummiest BBQ I've ever had!
The evening was full of love, laughter and lots of dancing! One of the liveliest and most fun receptions I have ever witnessed. At the end of the evening the new Mr and Mrs were sent off by sparklers and the and smiles and cheers of all of their loved ones.
Congratulations you two! I wish you many more years of wedded bliss, joyous times and killer dance moves!
