RTS Charity Holiday Minis!
Being the local leader for The Rising Tide Society usually means I have a lot of responsibility to put together meetings, lead discussions in topics that are beneficial for creative entrepreneurs and really be a representative of the #communityovercompetition spirit. I try my best but I am only human and there are only so many hours in the day!
I decided for this event I wanted to harness the creative power of our group while giving back to a charity that was not only local but spoke to my heart. After mulling over different options and charities to give to I decided on Promises Animal Rescue located right down the road in Gainesville, VA. They rescue dogs and have foster families take them in until they find their furever home. If you know me and my affinity for animals and dogs in particular, you'll know why this was an obvious choice.
I am so thankful I have such an incredible group of talented, hard-working ladies who inspire me at every turn. We ended up doing holiday portraits where clients could donate money to the rescue and we raised $780 for charity! I am so happy we get to help those sweet pups and had gave some families and couples some amazing holiday images!
These sweet gals include the following from left to right:
Amy with Amelia Lawrence Weddings stopped in to keep us company, thanks so much girl!
Lilly with Wild Lillies Events came early in the morning and helped with setup and organizing clients as they came in!
Elena with Macaron Tart who provided her lovely space and yummy food!
Myesha of Myesha Tamu Photography showed up and hung out to take tons of gorgeous images for us! Myesha you are the best!
Amanda of Agapé who came early looking stylishly festive and helped set up and then took pictures with her sweet, beautiful family!
Not pictured are the wonderfully talented Alex Chalkley who took amazing pictures for the 2nd half of the day and of course Rosie Omar who took the group shots and the details you see here today! Here are some additional shots that Rosie took of the deliciousness that is Macaron Tart!
It was a delicious day with some super talented ladies coming together for a great cause! I'm so proud of everyone and their hard work, going home with a giant box of macarons didn't hurt either!
