Jenn & Jon Washington DC Wedding
I love/hate relationship with Washington DC. As a northern Virginian, the traffic in and out of the city can be (and usually is) complete misery. But DC has a vibrancy and liveliness that you can't get in any other city around the world.
When I first met Jenn it was clear she was a no nonsense gal from Michigan who knew what she liked and what she didn't like. I loved her decisiveness and her eagerness to knock out every part of her wedding planning process and how excited and in love her and Jon are! One of the coolest things about Jenns wedding is that it was the first wedding ever held at the American Red Cross building in DC!
One of the most important things to them both was making sure Jons daughter, Avery, was included and felt special throughout the day. Avery was treated like a princess throughout the process and even though they had planned on her leaving early into the dancing she stayed up and kept the party going!
After the heartfelt ceremony where many tears of joy were shed it was time for the party to start! The evening kicked off with their first dance and then a delicious dinner by Purple Onion.
After dinner and speeches it was time to cut the cake! Fear not, Avery, no cake was smashed!
The party continued into the night, with lots of dancing, hearty singing along to classics and an energy level only the love of these two could bring. Jenn and Jon, your love for each other is real and palpable to everyone who knows you and I'm so thrilled I was able to be a part of the day you solidified that love to. one another!
